R/V Oceanus, Voyage #462 (OC462) 20 May 2010 - 30 May 2010 The research objective is annual maintenance of the two North Atlantic DART buoys. Planned scientific activities include recovery of Bottom Pressure Recorder (BPR) at each station and redeployment of a new BPR. At station 44402, located 135 nm SE of Fire island, NY, the surface buoy will be brought on deck, the mooring secured and the buoy serviced and redeployed. At station 44401, located 790 nm NE of Bermuda, the buoy and mooring will be replaced. The operations area will be the North Atlantic at Latitude 37° 26.0′ N, Longitude 50° 4.0′ at a depth range of 2435 - 5374 meters.
