The first of two cruises in the Sea of Japan / East Sea has been successfully completed in the early summer of 1999. A detailed cruise report is currently being prepared by the Chief Scientist, Dr. Craig Lee.

At this point, the post-cruise processing of SeaSoar hydrography has been completed. A detailed description of processing issues, as well as a first impression of the data set, can be found in a data report.

The shipboard acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) data from this cruise have been processed as well, and a data report describing this work has been compiled.
