For the East (Japan) Sea experiment, SeaSoar's sensor suite

- HobiLabs HydroScat 6
- Fast response oxygen sensor by
Dr. Chris Langdon,LDEO
- Biosperical PAR sensor
- Bioluminescence sensor by Paul Fucile, WHOI
- DataSonics depth sounder for bottom avoidance
HiStar and HydroScat transfer their data serially with 38.4KBaud and 9.6KBaud,
respectively, via glass
fiber. All remaining sensors are analog instruments connected to the CTD.
